Dental Implants

What are your options for replacing missing teeth?

At All Smiles Dental Care we have multiple teeth replacement options. Dental implants are the most recent and considered the best ways of replacing missing teeth. Dental bridges are also popular and were the first line of treatment for many years before implants were created. Patients looking for a removable option can opt for dentures.

Why are dental implants better than a bridge?

Dental implants are considered the best form of dental replacement. An implant consists of two parts: a titanium screw and an artificial tooth. The titanium screw is attached to the jawbone and is the foundation of the implant. We’ll place a temporary artificial tooth over the implant for a few months while it adheres properly. After the attachment is successful, we’ll replace the temporary tooth with a permanent one.

Implants are better than bridges because they don’t need other teeth for support. Additionally, your implants will most likely last a lifetime.

How are doctors qualified to perform dental implant surgeries?

Dentists need years of training to perform implant surgeries. It takes practice and training to place the screw into its proper position in the jawbone. Rest assured that at All Smiles Dental, we’ll take good care of you and have all the training, knowledge, experience, and tools to make your implant surgery a success.

How can CT Scans be invaluable for implant surgeries?

CT scans are valuable because they help us see things that we can’t see with our naked eyes. Natural teeth and implants are attached to our jawbones. It’s impossible to see the jawbones and their condition because they’re covered with gums and other soft tissues.

What is PRF, and why is it needed?

PRF stands for platelet-rich fibrin. It’s a healing agent that can be injected in bones and soft tissues to promote healing and improve strength. We can inject PRF following a bone graft to stimulate healing and speed up the process.
